Be sure to watch this on the largest screen you have (HD if possible) and have your sound turned on. The hummingbird doing barrel rolls chasing a bee is not to be missed. Be sure and watch closely (around 2 min 40 sec) and check out the baby bat under its mother. If you never knew what goes on in the garden when you aren't paying attention, watch this - some of the most amazing photography to be seen! https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/xHkq1edcbk4?rel=0

Very nice John. I have been wondering where all the Monarch Butterflies have gone. I have not seen many the past few years. Someone is hoarding them - please let them go.

Wish I cold point you in the proper direction and it has been some time back but I read somewhere that the thing affecting the honey bees Might be the same thing affecting the Monarch butterflies. And if my rekememberer is working I believe the Monarchs breed in one place in Mexico. Year or so-maybe more-ago my P B S station(s) did a report on the plight of the Monarchs. The news on the Monarchs at that time was NOT good news. Man has become good at making some species extinct. RIDE SAFE.

... I believe the Monarchs breed in one place in Mexico. ... That would be a problem, O2S, as no single monarch lives through the entire adventure of the south to north and north to south migrations. The average life span of a monarch is six to eight weeks except for the dormant ones in the south that live through several months. From the time the monarchs start north until they return to Mexico several generations will live and die.
