Is there anyone near Lacrosse WI that would be willing to help me with a long distance transaction on a bike near Lacrosse? Act as my "agent" and "inspector"? I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks, Greg

Nogrey,
There is a guy that goes by "alph" that lives near there. He is on the VOAI board more than this one. He may be able to help you.

If I was closer vs. near 3 hour drive, I'd give it a spin around the block for you.
Is it another Valk or a Wing or a smaller cycle near LaCrosse WI?

Also, 2015 they made and sold the Rocket X, which is incredible but is mostly eye candy over the other models. Absolutely beautiful machine. Only 500 made. Want one but can't afford it.

Greg, I sent you a text. I contacted Jerry and will arrange to meet up with Him either Saturday on Sunday morning to inspect the bike. It is in Prairie Du Chien, 114 miles away. Great road trip if the weather would cooperate. Will keep you posted. Just thinking, this beast would look good in my garage...

Don't know if I can live up to the kind of friends that I've met on this board. Has to be the best group of folks I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. So grateful for T.P. And his lovely wife, and thanks Bobb for going so far out of your way to help. Appreciate it.

best to look at it in PDC on Sunday, raining here and probably in PDC the rest of today (Saturday).
PDC is only 1 1/2 hours away vs. LaCrosse, but don't really have anything else to do in PDC but would be nice to test ride it for you.
I wonder why though the right side of the gas tank doesn't have chrome around it like the left side does on the side? Looks like a very nice, clean, near new bike from the pics and have heard the big 3 cylinder will spank the Valk as well.

Bobb was going to take a look at it today, should know in a little while here. The photos are not really very good and do not do justice to the Rocket. The design of these bikes is a bit unusual and there is only chrome on one side of the tank. A bit of a beast to look at. My suggestion is to not ride one. I sold one of my Valkyries to be able to afford to stable one of these. I had the opportunity to ride one from north Idaho to south idaho for my brother. 7 hours of hills, twisties, rivers and forests. It was an absolute thrill and joy to ride. Don't get me wrong, I must have at least one Valkyrie, still the greatest bike on the planet in my opinion. But if I can have two bikes (and I can), I think the Rocket is going to be the second one.

...it is just the most amazing thing to have friends in this club that will do such a favor. It's like belonging to AAA, only way more personal. I really appreciate the help and the offers to help. Big +1! In December '14, I found a bike (or did it find me?) in Franklin, PA. Not very convenient to DFW. Within two hours of my similar post, I had two willing helpers respond, both of whom I knew / had met / done classifieds business with. Long story short, the good officer, PTGB, received my cashier's check, drove from Youngstown to Franklin to inspect, handed over the check, texted me to PayPal the balance, and loaded the bike on his trailer to drag it back to his heated garagemahal, all in 5 degree winter! To top it off, he then, he coordinated with my designated shipper to arrange pickup. It just doesn't get any better. Thanks again, Pete. Hope the Rocket works out for you, Greg!

I can't even begin to express how gracious Bobb and T.P. Have and are being. Bobb went all the way down to PDC in the rain to check out the bike for me. It was an all day trip for him and his wife (and lucy the doodle). To top it off, T.P. Was offering the whole time to meet him, help him etc. Now T.P. Is not only flying down to LaCrosse to make pick up the bike, but he's going to change the oil and filter for me and make sure the bike is road ready. Even more, he's agreed to put myself, my brother and my brother's friend (a virtual circus) up for the night and even pick us up at the airport! How much better than that does it get? Well, I'll tell you. T.P. Is also going to ride with us and guide us out of MSP on our way back home. It's just as good as it can possibly get. I am just so grateful.

My ST1300 was 200 miles south of Dallas.
Laser Pat (RIP) went to look it over.
Texas Ranger - no longer on this board - drove with wife to the bike. Handed over my bank cashiers check which the owner had verified was good with the bank contact info I supplied. TR then rode it back to Dallas.
I flew into Dallas. TR picked me up at the airport and let me stay at his home for 2 nights.
I rode the bike back to Atlanta.
Hooray for the VRCC.
I've returned the favor a couple of times by going to look at bikes others wanted to buy.

The flight was booked up so we left home at 9:00 am, me as a bitch on the back of MRS.T.P.'s spyder, in to LaCrosse at a little after noon, We met up with Jerry the seller of the Rocket, Fast, easy and no BS soon BobB and is wife Suzi rolled up and so did Jerry's wife. Another round of thank yous and the four of us were off to lunch. We then headed up to Nelson for ice cream (rum cherry) is the best. then off for home. 150 miles on the Rocket. Its taking a few calls out to Greg to figure a few things out. Way different then a Valkyrie. T.P.
