I was watching to see where it would go.  It didn't go nearly as far as I thought it would.  Congrats to the buyer, but I hope these prices aren't becoming a trend!

figured at least 6500 for that and that would still be a great deal. Man some folks just get lucky.

Yep, seems that the owner either just let the cards fall where they may----or he wasn't familiar with adding a "Reserve" to his auction.

Or, (as sad as this may be) that was probably the best offer he had received.    I see Valkyries (even here in our own classifieds) that never seem to sell.    While I love my own Valkyrie, buying another just isn't in the cards.    Loan value is way down and it appears they can be purchased for a lot less money.

yep,,  that be about 2 grand less than it is worth in my eyes, 6500 seems about right.

Although,  I have my eyes, just looking, at a blue/silver 2000 I/S Valk with less miles (I think around 43K) asking price also around 4300 or so,  that is dirt cheap in my book but don't have 4 grand to blow, even though looks to be worth it in the pics at least.

I would think the side bags and trunk and gas tank alone would fetch 2 grand if in good shape?

Now,  if I could find a used 2001-2005 maroon red Wing under 40K miles for under 7 grand,  that would be my next cycle.  So far,  all are 8K or above.  I'd have to sell my 2001 Black I/S though first for 7 grand or so.
