Hello all

Thank you for answering my questions as I searched for my Valkyrie.  Two months ago I deiced to get a cruiser to accompany my 2007 KLR.  Initially I envisioned a metric twin and begin to search Craigslist.  One day I saw a Valkyrie and it reminded me off the one I saw in Mineral, CA near Lassen National Park.  All I remembered was that I liked it and distinctly remember it was six cylinders.  It intrigued me and I began researching.  Part of my research was this site.  It reminded me of the amazing KLR sites/boards.  I searched and asked a couple questions and it helped me decide on, and nab, my bike.

Thank you and here she is...[/img]

Nice looking ride.

You'll want to replace that saddle if you intend to ride any distances.  A later model Valkyrie saddle can be had for under $100.  Some really nice saddles can be had for around $300.

Based on your commentary I believe we are not geographically far apart. I have a Corbin rider/passenger touring saddle available. Valk went to the junk yard a few years ago. My seat was not damaged. I took off the aftermarket add-on stuff before it went away. If you are interested in aftermarket seats, look around at the options. Has about 60k butt miles on it. Has been oiled and conditioned a couple times a year since new. Currently wrapped in a plastic bag collecting dust. I can send you some close-up pix if you are remotely interested. I'm 2.5 hours west of Redding on Hwy 299. You can give it a no obligation test ride if you want to compare with other seats. There is a PM message system on this board. Drop me a note if interested. Happy to kick tires and talk Valk if the opportunity presents itself.  sheets

Nice bike.  Funny thing, I've been wanting to get a KLR to go along with my Valk.

i have an '11 klr, great bike that compliments the valk perfectly in my opinion.  your bike is a beauty!  last august i picked up a '98 maroon/cream tourer with 61k miles on it.  love the thing!  i bit the bullet and put an ultimate seat on it, i'm 6' 5" with a 35" inseam and it made the bike feel/fit so much better...
