Just picked up this 98 Standard for ridiculous low $$$ She's got just under 100K and PO left her outside some, but she's strong and loud. Paint is good except for the rear fender. She's been over on her right side and the pipes took most of the abuse, with the rear fender showing a little left tilt and bottom of the foot peg getting rashed. Going to go thru her this winter and bring her back to her original shape as much as possible., but all in all, she's all there. What brand pipes are these?

Holy crap Bill Just how many Valkyries do you plan on owning ? I know someone that would take the front fender off your hands. I don't know the maker of the pipes though if I was to guess I'd say Two Brothers ?

Pipes are Cobras, the 2 Bros look much the same but the ends are turned outward. You can remove the baffles on Cobras because they're straight, not so with the 2 Bros.

I'd buy it as well if under 2 grand dirt cheap, why not?
I was looking at one local was an ugly green/gold Packer color all but butt ugly paint job and I'd thought I'd score on it locally outside of my town a few years ago. No response from the email I sent him since sold ASAP in just a few days.
Ya gotta GRAB the GOOD FAST!!!
I think it will clean up fairly well would make a good commuter bike not needing it all glared up for that cheap of a price.

Haven't looked in the pipes yet, but I'm pretty sure there's no baffles in there. Where does one get baffles for those? Not sure I'm gonna keep them on, there's some pretty good rusty rash that doesn't show in the pic and I got a couple sets of OEM's kicking about. I'd buy it as well if under 2 grand dirt cheap, why not?

I'm not gonna brag, cause if usually causes problems, but I stole it. Even figuring in the time and money of a 800 mile round trip with a room for a night, I still did way good. And yep, she's gonna clean up nice

I'm not a big fan of loud pipes myself. But many here have had good success with the HiHeat paint on them. Big Poppa's look really nice.

I'm with you on the loud pipes, I already took a set of Ragnar cut pipes off, but I'm gonna give these a whirl before I decide. I was thinking about the HiHeat paint, did it on a set of headers that were too far gone and it's worked fairly well. Just wondering if doing the whole pipe set would be too much? I didn't wanna know what you paid anyway. Better than CHEAP INSURANCE

I'd like to have 2 Valks: One being my stock piped OEM original Valk I/S and if can find one cheap enough, a LOUD pipe std. or tourer if found on the cheap side under say 3 grand.
Would be like riding 2 different bikes all together, one quiet, one LOUD depending on the mood I am in.

I did that for a while but found I was ignoring the loud one.
That's just me.
I will tell you, when I did ride her, I liked the sound. These bikes sound awesome when loud, especially when you're on it and around 3 - 4K rpm's
The drone got to me.
