Don't Do It!!!!!!!

Getting to be an epidemic around here, giving up the right away.

I frequent an "T" intersection where I have the stop sign approaching the road.  There is no stop sign or yield sign or anything sign at all on the road I intersect.  I always stop giving plenty of room in both direction on the other road.  The folks coming from the left are fine.  The folks approaching from the right, however, is a different story.  For some reason, the ones who want to make a left onto my road like to come to a stop and wave for me to go through and make my left.  I don't know why.  I sit and point at my stop sign, and they still want me to go.  One time I did, and the other driver did as well.  I stopped and just let her go by.  Never again.  Sometimes I sit there and they get mad and drive by calling me names.  They call ME names for obeying the rules of the road.

Last night coming on to a highway, I hit the acceleration part of the lane at the exact time another car was right next to me in the right lane.  He's already on the road so I slow down to let him get in front and, of course, he slowed down I guess to let me on, but now we're still side by side and I'm running out of room fast so I step down and go out front and around him clenching my butt cheeks, I even think I closed my eyes.

My heart was racing and I drove 10 and 2 the rest of the way home.

Gary-a couple of my NEVERS. Trust turn indicators. Trust folks waving me ahead or thru. Trust white knuckles and blue hair. Trust ANYBODY on a cell phone and moving. There are a LOT of others but you get the drift. Happy ya didn't git smacked. RIDE SAFE.

The last time I trusted someone who was waving me through (in front of them, making a left turn) I got T Boned in a two seater Pontiac.    Wasn't much fun and according to the LEO, the fault was mine (although he didn't write me a ticket).

No longer will I trust anyone waving me ahead.   If I can't see a clear path, I don't go.
