I've been to old sawmills that had a single giant power generator
hooked up to big long belts that ran off to a network of other
big long belts that ran all the planers and saws and stuff...

One that was going at the time I was there in Northern California,
and there's another one I like to go by in South Carolina that
shut down in the 60s at Miley...

Here's the kiln at the South Carolina place, there's furnaces
down below, wood to be dried was stacked in the sections
above and those are trees growing from the roof of the building
now...
