There's a highway to hell
but
a stairway to heaven.

Seems to say something for the anticipated traffic.

The road to destruction is wide and many will go

Small is the gate and narrow the road to life

Not my words, but wise words indeed.

There needs to be an elevator or escalator to heaven. I hate stairs. Seems rather harsh to make one's final journey up a set of seemingly endless stairs.

I'd bet if they took out the highway and put in a slip and slide water chute Hell would get even more.

I have a feeling many of us have been climbing up into a strong headwind most of our lives. I have.

Our preacher preached on Matthew 7:13 a couple of weeks ago...

Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.

I mentioned Stairway to Heaven and Highway to Hell to him on the
way out that day  cooldude

There was a Highway To Heaven in the 1980s starring Michael Landon and Victor French.

The big question is...why is the road wider to hell and the lake of fire than it is to everlasting life?

That is something worth pondering!

What about the "best intentions"?

That wide road to hell is paved with them
