No Dylan fans ?   Hmmm.

My friends still talk about my Dylan album collection. We used to stay up late
in the dorms, drinking beer you know, and listening to Dylan. I'd put
on an album, "listen to this song"... and then put on another album
with another version, "compare with this one"... then put on a bootleg
with another version... sometimes after the fifth version or so they'd
make me put on at least a different Dylan song... or my roommate
Tommy Robinson would finally get fed up and put on Nazareth or something...

I have a small picture of Dylan playing with the Grateful Dead in my office.

Happy birthday to Bob!  One hell of a songwriter.  Kinda an eye opener seeing many of the rebels from our youth becoming refined (?) old gents.  Also couldn't believe Willie is 83 and still pickin' and grinnin'.  David Gilmour 70.  Don Henley 68.  Mick 72.  Sir Paul 73.  On and on...

Saw Dylan give a workshop in 1964 at the Newport Folk Festival.  I was 15.  What a time to actually visit with those artists in a tent, sitting by their sides; the music and devotees evolving with each other.  Smiley
Many returns of the day, Bob.

Why does the tone of their voices seem so monotone and stoned out of their minds.  Oh wait, they actually were stoned ...   Grin

Surely beats the rap crap though of present.  cooldude

I've never been much of a sleeper, so, in college used to go over to the radio station and put on all night Dylan concerts. Some actually liked them but some asked for a bit of a change from time to time. So I threw some other singers into the mix.

Hmmm.  I'm guessing he was referring to the only real Chief Commander who he sings of often.
