...especially the weatherman.

4:30am , weatherman told me "cloudy in the morning, clearing in the afternoon"

rode the bike into work. Got to work by 6am.

7am, weatherman "80% chance of showers in the afternoon"

glad i packed my rain gear

If you listen carefully the weatherman will say, "cloudy in the morning, and a chance of clearing in the afternoon, but there is only a 20% chance of that."

So that 30 minutes later the weatherman can say, "80% chance of rain in the afternoon with a 50% chance of clearing in the afternoon."

Lesson learned, weathermen are like politicians. They speak a lot but don't actually say anything worth remembering. And they flip-flop like a catfish on dry land.

Evan, the only two times the weatherman is wrong is when he's silly enough to use 100% or 0%.  If he says a 10% chance of rain and it rains he was right.  If he says 90% chance of rain and it doesn't he was right again.

If there is a weathermans' Hall of Fame, the one who invented the "% chance of rain" forcast surely must be its most revered inductee. Yup... 1% is the same as 99% ....one can never be wrong. Imagine if we could all use this same type of "committment" in our business or personal lives ...

Weather Men and Army Recruiters = Professional liars.

I always mention that to my brother, he was an Army Recruiter for 12-15 years.

Unless on longer trips with cycle which cannot be avoided, if even they say a 20-30% chance of rain is more than likely will rain somewhere in the area they broadcast out to say within a 200 miles radius.  I just stay home then and don't take the cycle since I might melt..   Grin

Just like today rained at  7 a.m., then completely sunny at 8 a.m. thru 1:30 p.m. and then downpoured for 30 minutes and sun came out and now just cloudy out.    It happens like this all the time.

Just like this weekend rain off and on, depending where you are at,  both days, but not an all day washout meaning it will rain at some point in some or most places, while other places NOT a drop.

The weirder rain weather was in Florida/Gulf Shores AL area on vacation a few years ago.  It was early June and HOT, almost too HOT for me being 90+ degrees at 8 a.m. which is unheard of in WI.  Anyways, it would be completely sunny out 90% of the day and a storm cloud rolls on thru off the Gulf Shores beachfront and downpours for only 10 minutes and then completely sunny again and in a matter of 5-10 minutes, the roads are completely dry and many rainbows to see.
