Mama is talking with a tattoo artist on whether he wants to be at InZane.  I told her the last couple of times we've had a tattoo artist is has been a bust for the professional going to the expense and time for very little business.  It certainly wasn't like that ten or twelve years ago.  We used to have folks lined up to get painted.

How much interest is there in getting a tattoo at InZane?  Should we try to bring an artist onsite or just point folks to a shop in town?

Tell me quickly so I can pass it on.

I would just point to the shop,i like to visit shops to see how they perform and how clean the shop and see there work,

I agree.   I could be wrong but, I have doubts it would be worth it to travel to us versus us going to a shop.    While I might consider another tat but, it surely wouldn't be another big one.  Additionally, the money would hopefully be supporting a local business.    You know, one that's a member of the Visitor's Center.  Wink

Negatory.

Carl, this would be a good site survey/poll question.  Up or down.  No discussion or argument necessary. Easy anonymous voting.  And quick.  Just a thought.

Just curious, back when Inzane had lots of folks getting inked at the event, was that when Tigger was doing the inking?

'cause there's a big difference between having someone you know doing the inking at the event, "One Of Us" so to speak, and just some tattoo artist we don't already know...

Just a thought (And disclaimer - I have no dog in this hunt 'cause my unbroken streak of never making it to Inzane will continue.)

But, when I'm getting ink, I take a LOT of time researching, planning, looking at artists and their portfolios, etc...

Serk, it was primarily when people were buying new motorcycles and exciting about spending a lot of money and getting marks to go along with the brand new machine.  The crowd, in my opinion, has changed a bit in tone.  Still a good group just not the same mindsets.

Jess, as to the poll, I wasn't really that deeply interested.  She wanted some quick sense of how much interest.  I think we've confirmed my thoughts.
