My brother Ols2Soon , Dennis and I went to a service in McHenry Illinois . It was well presented and we met many past ,present and future veterans. They are all important people.
The one that stood out (and I am not slighting any one at all) , was a guard from the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldiers. He served from 1955 thru 1956. I never would have thought we would ever meet one of the guards as we never hear of them when their duty is over.
There were WWII , Korea ,Viet Nam and Sand Box Veterans there. All branches were represented.
