Garmin recently released new updates to the maps, time zone data, and FM traffic receiver updates.

I can't wait for the update where it is a touch screen and you can drag to change your route like on Goggle maps, I think that would save us lots of time.

I purchased a Garmin 660LM and have been very satisfied with it. Prices have come way down on them as well.

Which GPS is like how long is a piece of string.  I prefer Garmin, and have almost a dozen.  My favorite was the Nuvi 1450.  Large screen lifetime maps and traffic.  Used it daily 8 to 10 hours for 4 years.  It made many trips in weather from freezing to 120f.  I did water proof the Nuvi with silicone.  YouTube has videos on how to do this.

Gpscity has the Zumo 660 on sale so I just got one.  It has all the mounts needed for bike and car.  Water resistant, and connects nicely to the wing.  I selected the Zumo since James also has one and trip routing will be more consistent on the longer rides.  It also is also better for advanced GPS use.  Its processor is slower and I am hating the lag occurring when I push its limits.  But in bad weather this thing should be perfect. 

Garmin also has a series called the Dizel (or like that) that is targeted for truckers.  If you happen to tow or drive an RV that may be better for use across the vehicles. 

So I look for big screen, bright screen, memory slot, ability to work in car, truck, motorcycles, and airplanes.  I also look for being able to use external active antennas for consistent tracking in large city downtown areas.  Check Office Depot for closeout sales on older models.

I have the zumo 660 on the bike, love the fact I can build routes on the computer and upload them to the GPS.  Makes a great difference, when wanting to program in routes that utilize a lot of back roads.
I also use Nuvi 2597's in both my vehicles, love the traffic, weather and many other features they have.
