...Every year I sweat the final week before the Q.
Between the weather and our location way up in
the Northern Woods, I know its not easy to get here.

But this year was one of the best turnouts we have had
in a long time, especially bikes. And the weather which
local weatherman had predicted to be rainy all weekend,
was sunny and in the low 80,s....Perfect !

This year we had folks ride here from as far away as
Alabama, Louisiana, and Chicago, not to mention
multiple folks from Wisconsin.

This year Faith decided to rent a big ol tent, just
in case the weatherman got it right for a change.
It worked out so well, that I think were gonna start
doing it every year now.

. ...And as always, there was plenty O food...and folks were chowing down ! ..  cooldude

. ...DDT and JP showed up and we made sure they were well fed...

. .....DDT is now a believer in the BAB ! ..  cooldude

. ...And of course.....The Bikes..  cooldude cooldude cooldude

...I want to thank "The Two Steves"...Blackdog and Faiths cousin Steven, who help us pull this thing off every year !!! ..  cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

....And most everyone stayed after the Q and hung out around the fire pit until after midnight...it was a most bodacious day ! ..  cooldude

. .....I want to thank EVERYONE who came and made this a most bodacious day, we couldnt have done it without you and hope to see you again next year ! ..  cooldude

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
. ...And of course the nest day after we cleaned up....it was time for some sweet wind !  cooldude
. .....Yep....finally got the bike back together and Steven trailered his bike up, and for the next couple of daze we did some riding....First up the the Peninsula..
. ...And then the back way up through the Tunnel of Trees to Mackinaw City..
....We stopped at The Dunes on the way up...
....Saw a wind surfer..
. ....All in all it was a most bodacious weekend and we had a blast !
. ...Again....Thanks everyone who came and helped make this a great day....see ya next year !!! ..  cooldude
What a great looking IS!! My third bike is a 2010 Concours like the one in your driveway. Love the bike. Who owns it? Ya gotta love a bike that can exceed most speed limits in 1st gear.
A big  cooldude cooldude to Dave n Faith for going through all the hard work of planning and sweating all the details, to pull this event together!  Steve n I may have helped out, but all we needed to do was show up  Wink
Great pictures, as usual, with my favorite this year being the 'camp fire' pic.  That's the most folks I can remember, staying that late  cooldude
Once again, the perfect start to Summer!
Sensational burger! Great group of folks, outstanding hosts, and quite skillful 'cooking staff'! Ate 'til hurt, then went back to the motel room and had a power nap... Returned later for the fire pit experience... and... first time I can remember going barefoot like that, and definitely the first time I've been engaged in organized toe wiggling!
Dave and Faith, you folks done real good! Steve and Steve, y'all done real good too. In fact, everything I saw went off seemingly effortlessly... When things go really well, they always 'appear' to be easy, but most of us know it takes one heckofalot to actually pull all the details together and make things come out well. Congratulations, you certainly exceeded my rather high expectations!
I really enjoyed meeting new folks. Many I've seen on the board, a few I'd actually met in person before, and two, Mitch and Laura, I've known pretty well for a while. One of the main features and draws for me to come to these is to meet folks I'd never otherwise get to know. Thanks, y'all, for allowing me to hang for a day and an evening with the 'North Woods Bunch'!
From that one pic,  DDT's mustache grew 2 inches wider from the grin on his face...   2funny
Must have been a VERY good burger...  Roll Eyes
Ya living in God's country up there been up there a few times and love the sand dunes and state parks all along Lake Michigan.
Plus,  saw an episode of Polaris ATV adventure and sounds like I think Baldwin MI is the mecca of ATVing.  Going to have to check out how much an out of state from WI week pass is up in that area for ATV trail riding.
Cookie...if. you like the dirt and trail riding Baldwin is a great place to be. You can ride until you've had enough. I've been visiting that area for years hunting and fishing. I finally bought a place up there quite a few years ago. Its only a 125 miles north of my home so I spend quite a bit of time there. Not a big town but nice folks and the best ice cream in the country at Jones's downtown. Let me know if you ever get that way.
Mr. Dough,
Not sure about the 'two inches' but it definitely did get expanded to a new length! Ahhhh the BAB... What an accurate and appropriate name for that culinary masterpiece! Blackdog has real talent at the grill, and his deft hand with a flipper/spatula is quite remarkable... The product itself, the result of years of experimentation and trial and error, has evolved into something to be proud of (nice going, Dave!). If I could make burgers, those are the kind I'd always be shooting for!
Can't say enough about the folks there, either. Dang, it just ain't in me to make plans longer than a few minutes ahead, but it does occur to me this may not be my last appearance at one of those affairs... Y'all should be very careful about random, casual invitations... some of us rednecks will take ya up on them!
