As usual my comedic ability needs some work. I was told the meteor went over Phoenix and was headed towards Tucson when it exploded (or fizzled). I just meant it as a joke that he fired a scud missile to Mexico , much like Saddam did .

It was going the wrong way for that.  Radar showed its trajectory going north with an impact (if there was an impact) between Globe and Show Low out in Apache country.  Maybe he was sending a message to the indians.

I wish I had have seen it . I was in the shower at the time. I got to work and our receiving clerk was all excited about it . He told me it lit up the sky like it was daytime for a second. He was the one who told me it was headed to the southeast. That's what made me think of the stupid joke.
