I'm sorry, but upon logical consideration something doesn't jive with the story.  

All facilities in women's bathrooms are private; all women's bathrooms have private stalls.  Exactly how did the children identify the supposed biological men?  They weren't standing around using a urinal, for women's bathrooms do not contain urinals.  Since all activity is done behind the closed doors of a private stall, how did the children manage this feat?

It's quite possible that the children were frightened by the physical bearing of the individuals, sure, but to identify them add "men" and the cause of the fright?

Let's go over the FACTS, because your reading comprehension is apparently lacking.  From the linked Federalist Papers article:

TRANSGENDERED.  Which means that they, at least, were dressed as women. And "biological males".  In other words, for those who lack the ability to correctly deduce clues, according to the comments on record the individuals in question appeared as women, but were tall and with "deep voices"; a "biological male" who is transgender could not appear as male, for then the double appellation of "transgender" could not apply.

If you would stop acting out of fear and study the articles and quotations in question, you would have seen the "common sense" conflicts in the story.  The fear could be caused by the size of the individuals in question, but why would that cause "fear" as there are plenty of biological, unaltered women who are tall (I, personally, met a stunningly tall 7-foot woman, and Christa Neuhauser, owner and editor of RoadRunner Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine, is almost 6-feet tall).  The deep voices may have been the trigger, but wouldn't most children question first, "Mommy, why is her voice so deep?" before becoming afraid, mostly due to the adult's response?

I'll await further information before judging this story as factual, thank you very much.

Not all of those folks are size 10 with a size 6 foot and weigh 120lbs.  In the Danbury Mall in Danbury, CT, there was a group of transwhatever men.  Some of the ugliest things you have ever seen.  Some just wore wigs, no other accessories, no makeup, just wigs.  Middle aged men in wigs.  Others went for it wearing heels and shorts and short waisted shirts with hairy bellies hanging out.  Insane stuff.  They were laughed at and made fun of, but they sipped their coffees in front of Dunkin Donuts where one of the wigged men worked the counter like they didn't have a care in the world.  And they all feel like women and are gonna use the ladies room now that they can and you can't say NO.

Parents were already somewhat hesitant about letting young kids go to public bathrooms alone already.   It'll get more serious now.

Here in liberallunacy NYC, a girls swim team that uses one of the city's public pools were afraid to use the women's locker room as there was a bearded individual seen in there.  They spoke to the park's dept. folks who told the team that nothing will be done about the bearded individual, but that they should use the bathroom designated for families.

Why doesn't the bearded individual use the family room and let the kids use the girls locker room.  

It is all so very backwards.

BUT, ........... I heard a interview with that person Jazz and John Gambling the other day that made me see "part" of the other side.  If you don't know, Jazz is a person who says she is a girl born into a boys body.  She lives life as a girl in every way.  If you saw her in the street you would never know.  She was asked about this whole bathroom thing and was presented with the safety issue for girls and women.  Jazz said that HER safety would be an issue if she was forced to use the men's room.  I could see THAT happening sooner that I could see it happening the other way around.
