There must be more to this story. The guy was a Fire District Board Chairman. And it happened last year. How does someone of that level have more power than the Mayor or City Manager ?

Just a sideshow of the Firefighter's Union vs. the town's management (mayor); it has nothing basically to do with the flag flying. Believe me, I grew up back there and it's just a power struggle for who controls the money (budget) and how much one can steal from the other.  Rhode Island is about a crooked a place as you can find in the U.S.of A. when it comes to government and labor.  |

Meathead how can you or anyone say there must be more to this story? He to.d them to take them off the truck. What more do you need to know? There is NO reason for them to remove the flags from their trucks. Why were they flying them? To HONOR the fallen. THAT IS ALL ANYONE NEEDS TO KNOW. Honor of fallen service men! |
