On the Progressive 416 air shocks when you increase the air pressure does the shock become taller or stay the same length and more firm?

On the Progressive 416 air shocks when you increase the air pressure does the shock become taller or stay the same length and more firm?

If the pressure was low enough that it didn't fully extend the shock under load, it would be come taller (longer).  If it was already fully extended it would cause a firmer ride.
