Be advised: JP & DDT plan to arrive at ground zero tomorrow afternoon (Monday 6/13)... All IZ goers who have been dreading this news, take heed. Those with women they might have some doubt about, know that two male riders who've been on the road for three weeks are headed your way, and they are seriously looking at any targets of opportunity. I ain't joking around here now, we're serious!
We've battled heat, humidity, minor mechanical difficulties, cold, rain, dang near everything except the plague and locust... and we ain't had no female companionship to speak of during all this time. We are gentlemen, of course, and we will do our best, but even folks as worldly wise as us have limits... and we are fast approaching them full-throttle... You've been warned!
Tonight we're holed-up in Brookville, OH. We got an early start on the day this morning by departing our last motel before 6am. Still, by mid-day we were both beginning to wilt like five day old prom corsages. Well, we stopped to refuel, and decided to grab a bite to eat. And, there just yards away was a downstairs, park at the door motel... and the rest is history...
We cranked up the A/C to full-on Artic, pulled back the covers on our beds, and nap-time had its way with us. By the time I'd awakened, I was refreshed and raring to go. Nope, still have to pass some more time here...
But, we are thinking another early departure time in the morning should position us well for an early afternoon arrival at GZ. Now to everybody I've promised a beer to, the line will form at the bar in the lounge... unless there happens to be a tar-kickin' secession going on in the parking lot we could crash...
