I’m looking forward to this year’s elk hunting season but I do have a question.  If I shoot a bull, but I only have a cow tag, can I claim that the bull wasn't really a bull?

I mean … maybe he'd always wanted to be a cow, but with no choice of his own he was born with the physical attributes of a male.  And yet … on the inside he'd always known he was truly a female.

I'm just wondering if the game warden will buy it,........  because society and the Supreme Court do.

  so you're gonna shoot a transexual queer elk? Here in Indiana we have what we call a queer deer. It's a buck with only one antler. Whether it was broken off or just never grew we call them a queer. I doubt you get away with saying the bull identifies as a cow. They take their game laws very seriously, kinda makes human laws look stupid.

Better question is did He/She squat to take a leak?  That would be the telling answer to your question.   

I have known several CO game wardens.  They have no since of humor.

If you are handy with make-up and are up-to-date on the latest fashion trends you might be able to dress that elk appropriately.

The game warden might let it go but the judge and psychiatrist might send you someplace for some time.

I think as long as you get a written notarized statement from the Elk of course prior to the shooting by the required waiting period you would be good.

So, I guess you'll be able to just hunt anything you want, and then just even though you don't have a tag for whatever it is you harvested, can claim the animal was self identifying as a squirrel, feral hog, etc...
