Spotted a fellow unloading a  black Valk at Corvette Country in fayetteville Ga. Not seeing many in this area I went back to take a look see. It was a 2000 standard with a OEM windshield. He is prepping it to sale for a friend. What struck me was the windshield. I thought it was new. He said he had sanded with 1500 then 2000 and polished with Meguires Diamond Cut 2.0 polishing compound. I went home, took mine off and did a search on here for windshield restoration. Boy am I glad I did. Ricoman, Dave, made a post sometime back that saved me a lot of sanding. Brake fluid and panty hose. who would have thunk it. Night and day difference. Amazing. Tried to make so pictures for before and after. No mater what color back ground, could not get a good picture. Going to Summit Racing tomorrow for the polish, can't wait to see the results. Mine is not scratched, the clear coat was just really yellow and funky. A 49,000 mile windshield.

This could be some good news to me.  Mine is in bad shape but I look over the top.  I got the haze off last year and it help but still scratched pretty good.  Since my goal is to put a fairing on over this upcoming winter I will try the method you found and hope for the best
