Emotions are raw, tempers are flaring...

I'm no angel in this regard, but can we please stick to attacking ideas and not each other?

Very much agree.  Some of my posts are fairly sharp edged, but are not aimed at other posters.  Maybe their ideas or assertions, but not at them personally.   This goes both ways.

Poor:  Jane, you ignorant slut.....

Better:  Jane, how can you say or believe such a thing?  Your head is buried in the sand.  Here is what I think......

Best:   Jane, I disagree with your position because........... (facts and argument)

Put your energy and passion in your logical argument(s), not your disbelief or anger at your opponent's blockheadedness.  (Again, this goes both ways)

I heard an interesting quote once, cannot remember from where, though.  "Conservatives think Liberals are wrong, Liberals think Conservatives are evil."

This, from my experience, holds a ton of truth.

From 2012

And let's not forget the Clinton Foundation millions of dollars donated from those countries that have terrible anti gay, and definitely female unfriendly laws.

Yep that's those heart warming dem/prog/libs doing a great job once more.

I don't know, I believe liberals of Zero's persuasion and power are pure evil (and far beyond merely wrong).  I don't think most of ours are that bad (maybe one, and I will never respond to any of his posts).

The upside is, they keep us thinking about our values and beliefs, and help us polish our positions on the issues and things that are very important to us.  On occasion, they might even keep us honest.

I think Rob (Meathead) is liberal leaning, but not far left (as some of his posts might seem), but that he enjoys playing the devil's advocate on this board.  And I'm fine with that.  He is respectful and contemplative in his posts (as we all should be), and asks fair questions.

I do know that none of them are changing my mind or beliefs one iota, and here's the thing.... I doubt we are changing any of their beliefs or values either.  But if we ever can change their beliefs, it will be based on logic and facts, not personal insults/attacks.  That almost never wins an argument.... but it can often start a fight.  (I've had to duck the beer bottles.)

I routinely insult and attack the G, politicians of all varieties, liberals in general, insurance companies, banks, taxes, idiot drivers, deer, and all manner of things (because they've earned it), but I don't attack fellow VRCC members here on this board (whether they've earned it or not).

If any of this sounds familiar you may understand a liberal progressive.

.....................................................
A true liberal would be freedoms greatest asset, a current liberal progressive is freedoms greatest enemy.

Their label (liberal) is a lie, and somehow that seems appropriate.

Pete,

How long did it take to make all this up? Did it come to you in a dream?

Since it does not agree with someones "facts" it must be made up or dreamed? Typical!
Thanks for helping proving and re-enforcing the point.

Known for years  by millions of folks, all it takes is some intelligence, some observation, some research and a simple  correlation of those.

It is not rocket science to a non liberal progressive but much akin to magic for the committed liberal.

The funniest part about that list is that I could change the word liberal to conservative, and in every instance it would make sense.

And 'known for years, by millions of folks' ?

It's like Fox with their lead in to just about every BS story they put out...."Some people say".  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYA9ufivbDw

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kathleen-reardon/the-high-political-price_b_1015843.html

Now, do you see what I did there? I backed up a claim with a source. I didn't pull it out of my butt, I didn't dream it up, I backed it up with a source. I don't know why that's so hard.

Actually you can not just change the name, most none liberals have a grasp of reality and that makes a big difference.

Anyone that sources with Huff/Post should not expect anyone to take it serious and is wasting there time. Thanks again for proving the point.

We have discussed this "reference" issue before, if it really interest you should do you own research as I will not do it for anyone. It changes nothing and is a distraction.

The millions quote is a reference to the non liberal intelligent realist in the world. Believe it or not I am not the only one.

As for your rear use the Huff Post for that issue.

Baldo:

Your statement from post #28:   "I'll always read and consider an alternate theory/idea/etc, with one caveat. It has to be a reputable source. No assholes like Alex Jones, Beck etc."

"a reputable source"

Then, YOU go and use Huffington Post as YOUR source.

That is REALLY the Pot calling the Kettle Black!
