So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: June 23, 2016, 11:12:50 AM »

Hope all are doing well and adequately recovered from Inzane.   I had great time.

Was wondering if, VRCC and ever considered partnering with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and offered any safety training for it's members?   Might be a good thing for next year's Inzane.
Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't have a few certified instructors within our group.

Just an idea, bounced it around, banked it off the wall, hit the ceiling fan and decided  I'd see where it lands if I asked.   Nothing to get riled up about, just curious.   I'd probably sign up for a class or two.

In the past, Valker from Texas did an abbreviated course, called Dancing with the Fat Lady.
It was a good course... I would like to offer it again... if Valker is willing.

Excellent, I'm sure I would attend (assuming Inzane is located where I can go).   Was hoping there would be one offering a certification (not abbreviated) that might apply for insurance coverage or even for state licensing requirements.   I've been to quite a few but, it never hurts to add to the resume.

Thanks for the quick response also.   cooldude

At Inzane VI in Frisco, Colorado, I did a clinic on collision avoidance (swerving) and emergency braking.  About eight riders participated, IIRC.  I was an active instructor at the time.  One difficulty with doing this is the availability of clear pavement and the prevention of passers-through.

I would think lacking those obstacles and passer bys would take away from the realistic value of the class.  Wink   2funny

Sorry GR... Brain fart.  Thanks for doing the clinic!

No worries.  I wouldn't expect anyone who didn't participate to remember that from so long ago.  I encourage any other instructors to do something similar at future Inzanes, should the facilities be suitable.

I wouldn't get into that until day two.  Baby steps, Rams.
