I bought a used 97 Valkyrie Tourer recently and I love it.  However, I have one annoying problem with it.  When I'm riding over bumps.. even small ones.. it squeaks like crazy.  I can't quite pin-point where it's coming from and I was hoping someone else has seen this and knows how to fix it / where to lube it.  You can't get the bike to squeak standing still.. it has to be moving at least 5mph or more.  I've jumped around and rocked it back and forth.. nothing... only when you're riding it.  I can cut the engine and roll it in my garage and it will squeak when I hit the lip of the concrete.  I think the sound is coming from the rear, but I can't be certain... its rather loud and sounds like its coming from everywhere!

rear shock bushings? Easy enough to check - just take them off and look in there if they're all worn out. also very inexpensive to replace, and if they're original after 19 years it's probably due

Almost 100% sure it's the seat.  Remove the seat and cover the tang that goes into the squarish hole at the rear of the seat with duct tape.

Mine did the same, now it's quiet

Thank for your replies.  It turns out that it was the bolts fastening the tailpipes to the chassis.  I tightened them up and hit them with a little WD40 and no more squeaking.
