I'm thinking on driving the Miata down for some road straightening, specifically 135 from Freetown north to 46.  I heard that is was chipped and sealed this Spring.  i wonder if it has settled down yet.  The Miata doesn't like chip and seal any more than a motorcycle, it takes all the fun out.

Any comments on any other roads good or bad, would be nice too, Salt Creek road or maybe 58 from I-65 to Freetown.
I generally stay at a hotel at the mall at Edinburgh.   TIA.

I think 46 from Freetown to 46 is finished. Actually, they also chipped and sealed 135 from the north side of Nashville Indiana all the way to Morgantown. In my opinion, they ruined a perfectly good road.
As for 58, I prefer 58 from 135 to 446, south of Bloomington. When you hit 446 you can go north and eat at 'The View' about 6 miles south of 46.

58 from 65 to 58 is a fun road. These are my old stompin grounds. I also like 58 from freetown to bedford.

I had a real nice slightly curvy asphalt river road here that I drove, very nice, lots of bicycle riders too.  Now it's been chipped, not sealed, purely a gravel road now.  No bikes and I won't drive it any more.

Typical Indiana BS.

I might try I65 to 58 to 446 to 46 and then east past Brown county state park to Salt Creek road, north to Beech Tree road, to Ninevah, through Atterbury. Indot says bridge on 46 under construction but doesn't say where.

thanks for the info.

You can also take 46 east if Nashville to the state park. Turn north on old 46 and then split off right on CLay Lick. Take that to Gatesville Rd and then east to Sweet Water Trail.Sweet Water will take you to Beach Tree. Much better rode than Salt Creek. Salt Creek needs some work.m

The bridge on 46 is closed about 8 miles east of columbus. About 2 miles south of hwy 9.  I go that way to work every day and the county road I take is only about 3 miles out of your way.
