HEADLIGHT BULB FOR HONDA VALKYRIE QUESTION

Will a 9003 H-4 55/60 watt bulb fit the valk without any cutting or trimming on the bulb prongs. I read an article that said it will work and gives much brighter light. Can anyone confirm this. Don't want to fry any wires. Thanks for any help.

Yes it will work. I don't think the 55/60 is going to give much more light though. I've got a 90/100 in my standard. But you should probably go with the SmartSwitch so as to not mess up your start switch.

BonS's Smart Switch is the same thing in an easy to install kit.

H3 is the OEM if I'm correct.

Having the IS, the info is always having to break off 2 of the 3 tabs.

Does this not have to be done on the std/tourer models also.

My memory isn't the best, but I think H4 is OEM . The 9003/H4 will go on the standard without breaking tabs.

MR. GORDON.  I used the 9003 H-4 55/60 watt Sylvania it was a perfect fit. The prongs were the exact same size as the old bulb. Mine still had the old original bulb in the headlight. Still working after 18 years. The Sylvania is way brighter than the orig. By the way I bought the two pack bulbs at O'rielly auto parts.

listen pal, forget about hallogen or xenon bulbs, get a LED bulb and it is the real deal, there are motorcycle kits available that have the proper type of rings so you dont have to modify or cut the bulb for it to fit the honda slot

i just installed a set of those on my interstate and trust me. its the real deal plus it draws less power. something around 30W instad or 55/60

I installed one of these ASAP after getting my Valk 98 Standard. Works incredibly well. You will simply not get a better performing or easier to install lighting upgrade.

Had to cut the rubber cap thing that goes over the original bulb, but that wasn't an issue. I've installed the Cyclops bulb on all my bikes. it's the first thing I change when I get a bike.
