Spent 23 years of my life in the military, loved it, BUT am blessed that it was before BHO.  Cant imagine what its like to serve now.  Even back when I retired it was getting political, but nothing like now.   Just don't think I could deal with the dumb ass things going on now.   It was always tough to make a career in the military, and my heart goes out to the troops that are having to cope with this crap in addition to military life in general.  Its hard for me to think of Nancy Boys as Hero material.

I spent a lot of my adult life in the service of our country as a Marine and in the Army.

I have seen many people turned out or down from our drafted and volunteer forces due to physical and psychological issues because of the needs of the military.   The military needs physically, intellectually and emotionally stable, strong and enduring people to fulfill their mission(s).    Now we are apparently seeking the total opposite.   WTF are we doing to ourselves?

Just wondering... if a Muslim that's killed by a woman can't go to heaven, does that count if it's a dude in a dress?

Ya know, I'm really baffled by this.   I've seen many stable and physically fit men and women that wanted to serve and couldn't for some reason.   They were unfit for military service due to................  You name it.   Now this.   The military is not supposed to function as a social experiment.   Their job is to kill the enemy.    Not lead the way in some cultural social system desired by our politicians.

So, if this comes to fruition, then we're going to be also responsible for sex change operations and hormone treatments?   If so, then no fat person should ever be turned down again, no person should be denied the opportunity to fly jets because they had laser surgery,   nothing should be off the table.    We owe them that.  Don't we?    Roll Eyes

Having your battle buddy cover your six just got a whole new meaning.........  coolsmiley

Exactly. We've raised the bar so high anybody can get in. So why even have requirements?

Well, with this mindset, you end up with a bunch of sailors thinking that its ok to surrender their boat and tell the enemy anything they wanted to know.  We need a different tone to be set.

Yup, that's what they're saying.  The American taxpayer foots the bill.  This is wrong on so many levels.  It legitimizes and almost condones the transition as acceptable, even perfectly normal.  Do those Americans who do not agree with this get an option to opt out of paying for these surgeries, treatments and counseling sessions?

I'm guessing more misled youth will be seeking out military recruiters with the goal of free surgery and a sheltered transgender lifestyle.

Well, you left out fat kids needing stomach surgery, bald guys needing hair transplants, plastic surgery candidates, circumcisions, mental health visionaries, the list goes on and on....................   Heck, they might even take some old Valkyrie riders now...............

Anyone that's had any form of bariatric surgery is barred for life from joining the military in the US.
