Hello Folks I was wondering what type of bags folks have on their standards. I want to put some on mine and was just trying to get peoples opinions and to see what they have on their bikes. Not against soft bags either just need something to put my work equipment in when I don't want to take IS in.

Without a doubt OEM hard bags are the way to go. If you want that stock look I agree (and if you have $1500) There are quality alternatives. I also dislike working on Valkyries that have the OEM bag mount system, not bad enough to remove it first, but it's nice to not have that |

Am like you are. Don't care for bags all the time but need them once in a while. These are Leatherlykes and can be removed in less time than it took to post this !  |

Well, some throw them over the seat, they have ties that go to the soft bag brackets but I think that looks dumb. Yes, the way I used them the pillow holds them pretty much in place |

So will they stay in place just by throwing them over the fender. No rear seat. Is there a way to secure they to ride.

You need the soft bag support rails, and yes you can tie the real good to the rails and they would stay put |
