Hi, I have two sets of OEM exhausts with all the covers but they've both been molested. One set I bought long distance and was told it was completely unmolested and stock the other was on the bike when I bought it. Well lets just say I got taken. So do I clean these up and sell them or just toss them into Recycle Bin? The set I bought I have no idea how many miles were put on them, the ones that came on my bike have about 48K on them. I've since found an almost new set of pipes that are factory stock and am running those now. I know that shipping is fairly hefty at 60+ LBs per set.

Don't toss them. Someone may wreck and need.

With good headers (no road rash or rust, still chromeular) they are still usable for a lot of things by someone...

Personally, I'd keep them and offer them up for sale, eventually, someone is going to want them. Ironically, I went through three sets of pipes searching for the right sound to please my ear. If you're gonna toss them, toss'em my way.

I THINK (but check with himself) that MarkT uses such pipes for his awesome exhaust mods
Dont chuck em in the garbage till you have spoken to him
Have not heard any negative comments about his work yet and he is a good fellow.
Oss
and I dont have his pipes, yet

Define "molested"? (pic's would be good) If you seriously decide you're jus' gonna toss 'em holla, I might come get 'em

I had thought about MarkT a few months ago but his website gives a pretty detailed description of what he expects in core exhausts and these won't meet his requirements. He's looking for take-offs from a very young bike, don't know how you find that these days with the age of these bikes but in any case I know they don't meet his published description. They've both had the piggies cut off and the baffle drilled or knocked out from the piggie outlets. Other than that they're fine, just need to be cleaned up.

Someone could use them for something. If you are ready to throw them out put them up for real cheap here.
