If my backrest ran thru the seat like yours, I would have never sold the seat rail, looks great !! My backrest mounts to the passenger seat bolts.

That's a sharp bike.   

Do those bag lids open all the way up with that seat rail?

I know mine won't, but mine are Mustang bags....however, they're extremely close in size and deminsion as the oem bags.

The bags I have on the bike are Interstate bags, with the lids that open to the side, kind of like Harley bags do.

I had tourer bags, that open straight up, on my other Valk  . I had to take the seat rail off of that bike if I wanted to roll with those OEM tourer bags, (or switch hinges.)
I sold my old seat rail , which was a mistake, as I subsequently bought this Valk  . Sooooooooo, I had to search around and luckily found and bought the seat rail from Bronxboy.
