That was a great freelance show, we had rain just after dark so our local boys didn't do their usual stuff which is pure amateur and hodge podge stuff, but some real loud stuff which I do enjoy.
About your drone, which I know nothing about, how did you know what altitude would be right to get your footage?
Also, in the dark how did you know where it was and if it was hovering? And finally, how did you get it to come home, does it have lights so you can see it?

Can't speak for the specifics of THIS video, but most of the higher end drones have GPS, obstacle avoidance, ability to hover in a specific spot in space, etc features...
You can fly 'em by using Google Maps, and the drone mostly flies itself. You can even have it return and land right where it took off from.
