Hey Robin,  Before i installed mine, I found on here somewhere, instructions on adding a zip tie to prevent the pod from cracking.  Believe it was in shop talk, not sure where, sorry.
13k on them and no cracks yet.

Turns out not what or where,
but who you ride with really matters

I took an 1/8 weld rod and made a small support to the top bolt of the pod. Is made a loop to go around the bolt and a hook to go over the brace that runs a cross the bottom of the air wing bracket. I got two of the long bolts and the spacer and put them where the short bolt on top of the pod. I tighten it down just enough so the rod is holding the bracket down and they don't move at all.

After destroying my first set of pods, I now have a stainless steel support on the top rear of the pods, where the Baker's screw in, I'll take a picture tomorrow & send it PM. I don't just have the Baker's, I have the dragon-cut-out stainless steel covers, and the plastic was unable to handle the added weight at speed.
