An email I look forward to reading everyday is from   http://www.delanceyplace.com/?utm_source=Founder+71-74&utm_campaign=7%2F14%2F16&utm_medium=email Every day it's a brief excerpt from a non fiction book, generally historical. Thought some here might want to subscribe as the content is generaly fascinating. No ads or spam as a result of subscribing as far as I have noticed. No politics, just historical content. Today's excerpt was a little personal as its about the Prussan mercenaries sent to the US during the revolutionary war. Actually they were slaves used as cannon fodder by the royals of Europe. Selling soldiers was a major income for some countries.  My Grandfather was sent by his family to the US in the late 1800's alone and at the age 12, to avoid enslavement in the Prussan army which was still pretty much a death sentence even at that time. To receive the emails go to http://www.delanceyplace.com/delanceyplace-subscribe.php?utm_source=Founder+71-74&utm_campaign=7%2F14%2F16&utm_medium=email
