Thermocap

One of mine finally failed, Apr of 08 I installed thermocaps on both Valks  and posted it here  for several months other VRCC members tried them and had problems with leaks. Just wanted to let everyone know one of mine finally failed today, I noticed antifreeze inside the gauge and put tthe original cap back on.

I bought two. One would not allow the antifreeze to return to the radiator on cool-down. the other is still working. They are another example of Chinese manufacturing prowess.

i use to sell these for an very short time.. after seeing the failure rate i quit selling them the only reson i started selling them was some a hole was stiffing owners for $100.00 for these i was getting them for $14.00 and selling them for 20.00 shipped . i tried listing were to get them on ebay  from mr gasket but allmost got banned for doing it the a hole that was ripping people had a fit and said i copied his ad  it was mr gaskets ad from there web site even the pic .. i had mine fail while on a trip to the up but i had took my old one as a spare and still am running the oem cap to this day save the pennies and buy a crome cover for the oem cap you will be happier in the long run  mike b
