There's a Deputy Sheriff in my county that has been on the job something like 37 years.  Strack kinda guy, more likely to engage you in a conversation than most cops, will definitely drop knowledge on you if he pulls you over for a traffic violation but isn't very likely to write you up if you are respectful and polite...He's pulled me over twice in my car.  Never gave him a reason to on my bike.  Mid 60s maybe, not an ounce of fat on him, looks like he could bench press a Prius.  He's one of two motorcycle cops in the county Sheriff's office.  He parked his Harley for a BMW but kept the HD for Parades.

He was wearing has "off duty" biker attire.  Long sleeved denim shirt, jeans boots, Glock, badge on his belt.  I know he lives near the athletic field...probably on his way to work.

Pulled up to a field hockey game to watch my daughter play.  He was there, riding his motorcycle today.  The Green and Silver Blower Bike caught his attention.  He had seen my 2000 black, bone-stock Interstate many times before when I would drop my daughters off at school.  He always commented on how I would gear them (and myself) up properly for the three to five minute ride regardless of the weather.  He had never seen a Valkyrie with a supercharger.  He ambled over and looked it over, remarked that it might be a bit too tall for him.  I invited him to throw a leg over it, then one thing led to another and he started it.  "How does it handle?"  He asked.

"Fine.  Take it for a quick spin if you want to see for yourself."  I said, not thinking in a million years he would.  Wrongo reindeer lovers.  He took me up on it, and went for a good 20 minute "spin".   He started with some handlebar locked u-turns, and then left the parking lot and down the road out of sight.

"Doesn't handle like my Beemer, but man she moves out smartly."  He said by way of feedback.  "Nowhere near as top heavy as the Harley."

Good thing there's only two Sheriff's  bikes.  Lots of guys would like a spin on a blower bike.  Smiley

My wife found it on E-bay and got the ball rolling.  Sent me a text out of the blue one day, asked what a SuperValk was.  I told her it was an Interstate modified to be even more Awesome.  Asked me if a Supercharger was a good thing...I told her that they were.  She then showed me the ad and said "Happy Father's day- unless you need another tie or something."

I did.  I have no clue what to do with them yet...life is still in a state of flux after the accident.  Three swingarms, (One complete with wheel, tire, and brake caliper) two front rims, a set of heads, a carb for the blower, a half dozen seats, more body parts and bags and a clutch pack and an alternator and a bazillion screws and more.

No sir...unless you count what happened in my pants when I opened up the throttle enough to engage the boost.  Lips Sealed

My accident was with my 2000 interstate, which I had for 16 years, put 170K miles on...and still ran strong after the accident.  Just had to let the insurance company total it, since they wanted like, 2K for the bike if I wanted to salvage it.  Nothing really broken on it but plastics.   They did give me 7K for it.  Not too bad since it was bone stock except for footpegs and a windshield.
