Moose don't like to be located. They are wild and don't care to stand in a group near the highway for tourists to gawk at. That being said Walden CO is the moose Capitol. Don't hold your breath.  cooldude

Ride around at dawn and dusk and maybe they'll find you.

They are a hell of an animal. So ugly they're beautiful.

I'd like to get back out there to see some wild Bison again. As if there is such a thing as a tame Bison.

My Dad's neighbor and friend was rock climbing at a local recreation area and came across this guy (morning of July 9, 2016).  A very rare sighting around these parts, especially so close to a busy residential and recreational area.

We just about seen one by Silverton last year but he got behind a tree and after 15 min. We had to go.  I know around here the top of lake Superior their are warnings all over to watch out for moose an of the times we been up there we seen a cow & calf once and a another eating Lilly pads once as we flew down the road.  At another time above Nipigon I seen a trail across the road that almost could be construe as a highway but no see em. It helps to kinda know were to find them critters but yes you still gotta be lucky. Looks like somebody got a nice shot.
