So like the subject says...I have been off the bike since Juse 25 when I partially tore both my MCL and the outboard meniscus(sp?) To make it even more difficult, I had just received a new Schuberth E1 HUnter helmet almost on the say day. I had waited for almost 3 months but the 20% off with free shipping made it easier but it still sucked. So on Wed I went to see the orthopedic guy and he set me up with physical therapy for the MCL and we will revisit the meniscus...got a new brace, ditched the crutch and I asked him if I could ride and he said that if I was in the brace.
So a quick pic:

So did you get a ride in yet??  If so, how'd it go?

I'm hoping all is well and you didn't have any discomfort (or at least nothing major).

I had to take a couple months off when I broke my collar bone.  I started back a little earlier than the doc said... kinda risky, but I just couldn't help it.  uglystupid2

Glad you have official clearance and are back on two wheels!!   cooldude

You asked the doctor for permission to ride?  Does he own you?   Roll Eyes

Just giving you a hard time.  You do what you need to do to feel comfortable.  It irritates some that I don't take orders from doctors.   Wink

Doctors' orders are not orders, per se.  The patient is always in charge of their own person.  However, since doctors are typically more educated in matters pertaining to your health, heeding their suggestions is generally a good idea.  By asking if he could ride, I assume RDKLL was seeking his counsel, not asking permission.

Tony, congrats on getting back in the saddle.  Hydrate... is awful hot out there (just a suggestion, of course... LOL).

Take it easy and you'll continue to do fine.  Try to come to a complete stop before putting your foot/feet down.  My 2 cents.

Good health to you!
