I never could wrap my brain around those people with those opera like voices, I don't know what exactly what to call them, male or female,they say they have great voice. But I could never understand the joy in it. I am not saying its bad, I just saying I don't understand it, maybe it is how we hear things. I just don't get it.

Dreamaker, I raised four daughters, all with wonderful singing voices. After college, one went on to sing with the St. Louis Philharmonic both as a soloist and in the chorale, allowing her to perform throughout the country. When she raised her voice and then would pause for a couple seconds, you could hear a pin drop. I can enjoy a beautiful voice, be it male or female, because I understand the work that goes into developing it. But, until you have some of your own perform in such a manner it often escapes you which is understandable. Due to cancer, two of those voices have been silenced....at least on an earthly level. So now when I hear a talented singer such as the lead-in on the posted video, that's when I realize just how much I miss them. That gal has a powerful set of pipes and obviously some training, I really got a kick out of it. |

I love music, my parents always played classical music, which I like, and one of my favorite was Peter and the Wolf. I just can't comprehend opera like mentality. I don't like things because people tell me I should, or that I should because it is proper. I understand it takes a lot of hard work, sacrifice and disopline to do it. To some people, finger nails across a blackboard would drive them crazy, that is what it does to me. And I often wonder why it does not appeal to me, so I try and brainstorm it and try to figure out the attraction. |

To some people, finger nails across a blackboard would drive them crazy, that is what it does to me.
I understand your feelings about opera, I have similar feelings toward both opera and hearing Hillary speak. |
