Well, is there any more new front tire options or is the AdrianR path it?

It is time to stop the money flow to the 1500 and do a few things to the 1800 and I worry about the front tire rating on the Mishy because of my weight and we are 2up 95% of the time. I would feel better if the front was a GT as well. I'm sure most of you in this group rides 1up. My wife pouts when she can't go with when she works a Saturday.  I so enjoy the 1up times but greatful that she is so into motorcycling.

Dont think you have much to worry about although most of the time I ride alone I do occasionally ride with the wife on the tail and never had a problem. But I can tell you its not the spousal unit that seems to put the most strain on the front but the tight turns or quick turns that really seem to load the front up. Braking does it too but most of the time that front really seems to grip on a tight quick turn. There are a couple of choices, the Scorchers are branded tires that say Harley Davidson on the sidewall of the tire.

All the tires I listed come in the OEM size of 130/60/19 load 61 the one Goldstar listed does not come in the OEM tire size or load rating. I still believe the Mich Trail is the best in a non standard size. The load rating is 15lbs different 60 to 61 by the way.

What is the difference between the 130/60/19 and the 120/70/19?
Is the 130/60/19 taller and wider? Is the load rating greater? Is there an advantage of one vs. the other or just a brand preference?

Well by the numbers alone you know that the 120 is a narrower tire than the 130.  From posts I've read, the 120 turns in faster.  

To know which is taller, I think you have to multiply 120x70 and 130x60 and see which is the higher figure.

Okay, I did the math, the 120 would be the taller tire.

I got when it was posted back in April. I plan to ride my
Dunflop-bias-front/Pirelli-radial-back combo one more time
next week, then change...

Hey Bob, thanks for this informative post man.  I didn't know Metzler made a front tire size the same as the OEM..  I had the Marathons on my old bike and I really liked them.  Good grip and they lasted along time.  Eventually when I replace the tires I may go that route.  How do you think our bikes would handle with bias ply tires?

Avon, I know and love for the 1500 so I gave it a go front and rear. I still would rather have stock size and load rating for the front. I guess I will have to mellow out on the Oeros and milk.

It seems the the Michelin Commander 2 is not available in our size of 130/60/19 but is in the 120/70/19 as a radial.

Also the Dunlop as well as the Scorcher 31 both are not radials but bias ply made actually for the Harleys. Sorry guys I should have rechecked my information a bit more completely. As for running a bias front and radial back that what the Harleys do I make no claim to know if that will work for us.
