POTUS should back up and take off those rose colored glasses. That statement is applicable to the other candidate more so and for more reasons. But then, his legacy is at stake. Anyone surprised on his position? I wonder if he thinks his opinion matters to anyone? Diehard fans from both sides have made up their minds. Those that haven't (a very small minority) most likely don't care what he thinks or, they would have already made up their minds.

I cannot recall a time of any current President making a statement saying a candidate was unfit for the job. I know many have said why a certain candidate was better than the other....
I could be wrong; it happens often.

A few years ago Obama said Hillary was unfit for the job. So what he says (as usual) doesn't mean very much!

And before that blaming everyone of his problems on the previous administration. This guy is an embarrassment and a classless piece of crap and has been since day one. Of course he wants Hillary to get in, because it's the only way history won't remember him as the worst, most divisive and ineffective president this country has ever seen.

Seems to me that the president is still capable of making a good assessment. I think he's right on the money, so what's the problem?

good must be defined in relation to intent. If its his intent to tear down the country, divide Americans into factions that don't much like each other, fund our enemies and never offend a muslim, then I agree with you, he makes good assessments toward those ends.

Richard Armitage, Henry Paulson, Brent Scowcroft
Totally fine if they can more easily vote for a felon over someone that may have a big mouth from time to time.
We should get a comprehensive list and make sure these don't elected as a Republican to any other office.

The more career politicians call him unfit from either party , the more I am inclined to vote for him. And I ask you to consider: In the 1930's, two particular political animals (one in Italy, one in Germany) were both commonly derided as being unfit to lead, with particularly strong pro-nationalist and "anti social decay" agendas. We all know, from history, what happened from there. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just food for thought while you consider who you support whilst they maintain the label "unfit".

Ah, Yes. The "Compare Trump to Hitler". Actually, rather than being "commonly derided as unfit to lead", Hitler was overwhelmingly popular, and was voted into office several times. It went south later. Another, more recent person who was "commonly derided as unfit to lead", was Ronald Reagan. The US and the World would be destroyed if he was elected, as many said.

Apt. Very apt. Also, sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. Again, WE KNOW, she lied, she was negligent, she took money from everyone, then lied about all of these while under investigation which proved she lied, and continues to lie even though proven a liar. This is the better devil? Bill was getting $200K for speaking until Hillary became Sec'y of State, then he got $700K. In the interim between Sec'y of State and Presidential Candidate, Hillary was paid millions by the wall street banks she claims to be against. The foundation took millions from foreign heads of state while she was Sec'y of State. What kind of access to the would-be president does all this money buy? Right, all just gifts and charitable donations. Not investments. This is the better evil? The selling off of America to all those fine donors who come collecting on the donations. Her policies as Sec'y of State lead to further destruction of countries in the middle east and practically gave up every thing gained in Iraq to ISIS, allowed to grow under her watch. Really, better? Talk about selling out what's good for the country.

All that money now being justified for 4 hostages, but, their spin is that it is not ransom. Well, aren't they aware there is one more and he has been there for over 9 years.
All 5 should have been home before any of the 'deal' negotiations. I certainly would trust Trump in a negotiation over what we have trying to do the job now.
