Cute puddy.

I've had that happen to me a couple times riding all day on hot/muggy days.

It is really a rush to jolt awake from a short dream, and find yourself riding a motorcycle.

I don't recommend it.

I would guess not. I have to be careful on long trips in a car. I can and have started to doze off. But luckily no matter how long and tiring of a bike ride it's been I've never come close to dozing.

What you need to do is throw in some discussions of Canadian politics. We Americans are so self absorbed we would be stunned into silence.
The problem with that is, Canadian federal election campaigns only last for 4-8 weeks (usually closer to 4 than 8 ), and the over-the-top, bombastic personalities don't usually get leadership positions beyond municipal politics., with the rare exception. Party leadership campaigns typically last about six months, don't involve the general population, and most only pay attention to the last week or two.

To put forth a Canadian angle on the US presidential election, our local news station had a phone in poll asking who would be better for Canada as US president, and 58% said Clinton. They might be right.

America badly needs better choices. You need to add an extra party or two.

To address the original question, I prefer our general board without sub-forums. I wouldn't be upset if it changed, however.

Never dreamed, but nodded off a couple of times back in the 70's when I was young and stupid instead of old and stupid now.   It is not a good experience. Nor healthy.

You know, I've always stood by the Admin's decision to just keep one board for everything not mechanically related to the Valkyrie.  I've been amused by all the "requests" for an additional board and the replies that ensue (about every other month).  However, I am now seeing more and more non-riding posts on page 1 of the General Board and it has become offensive to me that I must click on the number 2 to move to the next page to find a thread that may interest me.

This forum also doesn't provide me a safe place to go to when the offensiveness of having to click the number 2 becomes overwhelming.  And if I have to click on the number 3 to see more posts to choose from,...... well let's just say MY LIFE MATTERS too!

It is for these reasons that I am asking for the other members of this board who are as offended as I am to form a sit in,...  We'll take over the board and call ourselves Occupy the VRCC!

Who's with me?  We'll show them.  We'll take back our board and provide a safe haven for all.  We'll even ban all political posts, but only those with a certain viewpoint so nobody ever gets offended.  We can do it if we all just stand together.

Anyone that says we need a "special" place for political posts because they get "offended" are really being quite disingenuous.  For one thing, Do you think for a moment they will not go on that new board.  Of course they will.  Will they, then open only posts that they think wont offend them?  No I think they will open most if not all.  But even if they choose, then they are proving my solution.

Choose wisely NOW.  How can a political post be less offensive to someone if its in a special place than if it was on the general board?

If you are easily offended by a post that talks about politics, THEN DONT OPEN IT, what at this point does it matter what page it happens to be on?

Holy hell. This is like when you ask your wife a simple question and she doesn't like the way you asked it and goes on for days about it, blowing it all out of proportion to the point that she forgot what the original question was.

I didn't say anything about being offended by political posts. It was a simple question asked politely based on an observation from other forums. Nothing more.

Well I'm confused. You said we should have a sit-in, but then said we need to stand together. That's all it takes. My mind became so consumed trying to come to grips with this bend of logic that my sphincter let loose and unleashed a fairly audible plume right here in my office cube.

And then it dawned on me, as if a sign from above such as it was. We need to hold a fart-in, where it won't matter if you're sitting or standing other than the possible effect on tonal quality, depending of course on that upon which one may be sitting.

Sometimes my genius just astounds me.

It's nice to know that we have more than one psychologist on board. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Wayne, you may be jumping to a conclusion.  I haven't seen even one member make the claim to being a psychologist or even a psychiatrist.   Roll Eyes

But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.  Cheesy
