"You have to admire a healthy tomatillo!"

Glendale, AZ

After some time off from normal life, I installed a new batt. to find gas spewing out of that large receptical (sp) that rests between my legs, pouring down to the block and onto the ground. This was disconcerting. Concern mounted when thinking about the dreaded hydrolock. Talked with Big B.F. and Smokin Joe and based on my description, they said,"DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE!" Sound advice all in all. Then things looked up! My Bro-in-law, who pays more attention than I, saw it was leaking above the carbs and running down the lines, spilling on the ground. T.J. in S. Fl. called and said he's seen and fixed this prob, no sweat! I'm in 115 degree temps here in Az. and due to a hospital stay and recovery, it hadn't been started for 3 months. Them little rubber bits had dried out and maybe running it for a bit, my poor scoot would be rehydrated! I called Big Mack So. Cal. VRCC and he confirmed the same! Went out this fine Saturday morning, cranked it, and lo and behold! shazam, no leakey!! Then the rpm's dropped. WAIT! WHAT?? goosed the gas, dropped one cyl, then 2 and - -- oh yeah, guess I'll turn the petcock back on! heh heh. Just flew my ass around the block! Whoo Hoo! Much thanks to B.F. our roving, rambling gypsy, Smokin Joe, always good advice(for the most part, heh heh) S. Florida's own Terry T.J. Jeter and last but not least Big Mack. Good friends and good responses. Time for a nap! See Ya! Mike

Hey old friend(operative word "old" Grin), great to hear you're now able to get out and about on your scoot. It's been awhile, sure would like to cross paths once again. Let us know how you're doing.  cooldude
