A friend was trying to get rid of some shotgun shells.  We bought the whole box for my son-in-law they were high brass Remington bird shot, nothing special.  However in the box with all the normal shells was this tin.  Never seen this before.  Ducks Unlimited Commemorative all brass shotgun shells.

Not sure what to do with these, I surely aint going to shoot them.  But they are cool.

I believe they are a 50 year commemorative promotion.  I think they should be stamped 37-87 which would suggest they were produced by Remington in 1987 or 88.

I remember seeing them at DU dinners back then.

They certainly are collectable and I would think would be worth about $10 or maybe more per cartridge.

Yes, that's all very accurate Patrick.  I have them for sale on a gun forum that I am on for considerably less than that.  I would take almost any reasonable offer, but wont split them up.  We shall see what happens, if I end up keeping them they are still cool.

I've seen them before, but it's been awhile. I had a part -time job at a gun shop for 18yrs. We had a bunch of them at some point, I think we sold them as singles for $2-$3 bucks, that was probably mid 90s when we had them though. They're neat.

I thought you would have them all polished and displayed with pride.

I have some old brass shells, but, none of the DU variety.
