I went up in some of those areas yesterday, not as far as you. I live
at 900 feet, even just getting up to 3500 feet (Sassafras Mountain)
felt nice and cool  cooldude

Sure is a downer showing up at Cashiers with all that
tourist snarl after riding the good roads. And then we
stopped at the wrong BBQ house. The brisket was
good, but you have to eat outside. Even 107 had traffic,
we took the cut-over to 130 and came back to SC that
way.

Is your bike running good?

One of the couple best things about that motel is ... Bike shed you can wash your bike , park at your door , near by restaurant with cold beer and Gabby the dildos wife is HOT.... I always work with her if possible on my rides.

Wife and I spent a week in a condo in Cashiers last summer. Rode the bike 3k miles by the time I got home. Awesome riding there and many waterfalls. There is a BBQ place on the west side of town that a lot of bikes stop at. I thought it was great.

On Thursday around 3 pm, I was approaching  Macon on I75. Realizing the time that would put me in Atlanta, I called an audible and jumped on US129 north. I spent the evening in Athens and Friday wandered through Rabin County, Ga, across the Smokies into Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Maryville,  Knoxville,  then picked up I75 and headed north, bedding last night in Greensburg, IN. I remember why I have always avoided Gatlinburg and Dollywood when in the area. Tennessee 411 is a nice ride out of Maryville. I have a '97 green and cream tourer, solo ride, so the red one you saw wasn't me. I think I found rain in every state this trip.

It happened to me!

Stepped out of my motel room Saturday morning to find 4 H-D riders standing around my bike. It was if they were waiting a grand unveiling which I immediately did by removing the half cover.

Lots of Mmmmm noises and a couple of nices and they slowly turned and walked back to their bikes.

Britman, did you walk to the top of Clingman's Dome?
I did it 2 years ago...thought I was gonna die...

Not this time. Bike boots and Kevlar jeans don't make for easy walking.
