I've seen reference to these, but Wikipedia says the 1500 Valkyrie was produced from 1996-2003.  So what gives with that?

The year models are 97-03, but they began production of the 97 in 1996.

My Std was made in May of '96.  Must have been an early model.  I know it is rare.  Cheesy

That makes it over 20 years old now.
