Search engine robots...
Search engines have programs that crawl the Internet to index and catalog everything on the net so you can find what you're looking for (And of course some for more nefarious purposes.)
Some of the robots (The less well behaved ones) will send out multiple threads at once, making it appear that hundreds or even thousands of users are logged into the forum consecutively.

If you're interested you can easily see the list for yourself. Click on the "Members" tab at the top of the home page. When the members are displayed click on the "Posts" title at the top right of the list. The list will then be sorted in descending post count order for you to view. |

The "new" board format was used by Texas for quite some time before it was put into use for the whole of the VRCC. |

Where I come from, we call the wise ones with much wisdom(such as the ones on the above list) elders---like in a church. Like EF Hutton, when they speak(type?), they have my attention. And on the other end of the spectrum, one of our founders, OZ was always a man of few posts. I used to kid him once in a while about how someone who was around since the incecption could only be up to what is now 555 posts. I guess when you're busy behind the curtain pulling all those handles and creating the flashes of fire and the bellowing voice, there isn't much time for idle banter. I miss his presence. |
