I've been looking for a 1966 California license plate for my 66 Plymouth but can't  seem to find one. In Michigan we can permanently  register a vehicle with a plate relevant to the year it was maufactured. The car is from California so that's the plate I'm looking for. Anyone have one laying around in decent condition? Be glad to buy it..Thanks.

Looks like Google might be your friend. I am not sure if the year matters as much as the sticker from what little I read. Good luck!
One of my fav's...

Lots of collectors and plate vendors into vintage plates. Look on EBAY, find a plate dealer, and scan his listed items. Will be very easy to locate what you want!!!

You can use California plates in Michigan ?  Hmm, interesting.

But, there are usually quite a few on eBay.

The 1966 decal is worth more than the California black plate.
