Just a joke -
One of the running jokes on another forum is that Dodge HD diesel pickups have a 1 million mile motor,  in 50,000 mile body, wired with 30,000 mile electrics....

Did I mention that "other forum" is for VW TDI cars ? (I have 2 - a 2000 new Beetle ("slightly" hopped up with a 4 speed auto to 5 speed manual tranmission swap, larger fuel injection nozzles, and RC2 tune ) and the other a 2015 Golf (still stock until warranty is gone)).  My Beetle gets better MPG than my Valk - over the same commute route.

Dodge Ford Nissan all I know is the steel bumper on my 28 year old 1ton square body chevy won't fall off like that. My 35 year old honda cb750c took a 60mph hit from a new audi. The audi was totaled and I still ride the 750. my 20 year old valk is built pretty solid too. The issue isn't the brand, although chevy is superior to everything else, it is the quality of goods in today's economy.

My Tundra has a plastic bumper  Cheesy  it has seen several trees in the woods  and a ditch and is still hanging on tight. At 208k miles just had ro replace the radiator last weekend other than that it has had 0 problems or breakdowns. Priced a new one last weekend also and at 62k I think ill keep mine for a few more years.
