I have just signed off on the Springhill Suites Marriott

October 7 thru 10  we have a block for 10 rooms

The normal rate is 239.00 but I got the rate down to $169. per nite as long as we can get at least 10 for one of the nights
That is pretty damn cheap for NY metroplitan area

free parking wifi and hot and cold breakfast and the pool should be done by then

Tell them Oss fall ride  for name of the group

You can google Croton Point Park if you are camping. The entrance to the Park which sits right on the Hudson River east bank is 10 minutes North of me. The hotel is 10 minutes south of me  Clint stayed there a few months ago

Between now and then, let me know what weekend is good for you (and Gary) for a carb balance.  I did mine and it's much smoother now and got 2mpg better mileage (ymmv).

Dan, is this a private party? . Just got a Valk Tourer two weeks ago and I'd like to get a carb balance. Vernon is 1 hour and 15 min. from me.

When you say " signed off " are you saying you are responsible for those 10 rooms ? Reason I ask when we was doing the " Hillbilly Highway " rides Snowshoe Resort in WV wanted me to be responsible for the rooms they blocked off for us... No way I would ever do that with the main reason being fair weather riders you never know what the weather will be.

I took your advice Joe and said no way I am responsible for those rooms  its why I think I lost the Comfort Inn price   that Meathead caught by booking early.  

The Marriott is the only place that said they will do a courtesy hold for me and its 5 minutes from the comfort inn

Sure hope as we get closer to September that some more folks will sign on for 1 nite or all 3

I can't plan nothing anymore the way they work me had to work this weekend . Wimp got us a room for the Dragon Round Up with knowing I may not make the ride. Good deal on not putting your name on all those rooms
