Well tried to hook up with a guy in new Hampshire selling a 99 interstate that needed help. Well tried to contact him Sunday and he had lost power so his phone was not working and he said no cell service,  my next day off is wed and he emailed  today  saying he sold bike.   Very sad day thought I was going to have another valkyrie to clean up and get running. I am hoping who ever bought it did not buy it to strip it and sell it

I feel your pain. About a month ago I had a standard lined up to buy and the day I was to go pick it up ( cash in hand) the guy text me and said he couldn't sell it tickedoff tickedoff I think he got a better offer personally but had committed to sell to me. Would have been #3 in the stable but guess it wasn't to be Cry

Oh man, I pulled the trigger and bought it yesterday.   Don't worry, I'm not parting it out.  I've already started the processes of getting what it is going to need to bring it back to snuff.  My son and I are going to swap Valks once it is done.  I already have an I/S and I bought a 1998 tourer a couple of years ago that I gave him to get it off my tax bill (CT sucks for taxes).

He wants the fairing and bags and bigger tank and I want the tourer so we are going to swap.

Sorry about that Matt but the itch needed to be scratched.

Matt , I was trying to get that bike to restore. It was a thousand miles away and I was hoping to fix it , not part it out. I am glad it is going to a good home.

And then there were three...  In my stable.

I rescued a 2000 IS this past weekend from an almost certain parting-out.  The seller (not a member here) told me that everyone who came to look at it from the CL ads wanted to buy this or that, but not the entire bike.

Hats off to us!   cooldude
